Who the hell is Longitude Yachts??!!

In May 2009 Tim was flicking through a sailing mag (Yachting World actually) and came across a picture of a new yacht launched in, of all places, Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires!!!?? How did this super cool yacht end up in Argentina? To cut a long story short, Tim was on a flight to Buenos Aires three days later to visit the mBoats factory where he first became acquainted with the passionate and skilled team under the guidance of Director Javier Mendez. He also met the designer Javier Soto Acebal and so began a partnership which continues to this day.

Longitude Yachts was formed specifically to market and import the Soto 40 One Design racing yacht and was instrumental in getting the Soto 30 One Design underway, recognising the many sailors out there who wanted something a bit smaller than the 40 but with the same dynamics and commitment to fast, affordable one design racing.
